How to build a website alone - WIX or Builderall?

If you are tired of paying so much money on a website and you have decided to consider building a website alone (using a website building platform) this article is for you.

Most business owners, who want to build a website, Go to Google and type a "website building" or "website development". The problem is that on the one hand, the diverse is huge, but on the other hand, people who are not familiar of building website are hard to know which company suits them. In addition, in the niche of website building there are many technical terms and it is difficult to understand the website price offers that you receive or know what to ask.

Do not get me wrong, there are a lot of advantages in connecting to a company to build websites - they have customer service, they already have knowledge of the subject, they have experience from previous websites, etc., but there is a certain type of websites (usually small websites) that if you have a little sense and you are not afraid to learn, you can set up a new website, cheaply, even within a few hours.

Before we start, I want to explain a few technical terms that are important for construction and would like to present the two systems mentioned in the article, one called WIX and the other BuilderAll (You can register to Builderall free Trial here, Sometimes you can find Builderall discount and it will show there). The more familiar system is WIX, but the BuilderAll system contains a large number of options that you may need for market your business, so it is both more comprehensive and cheaper. (If you are affiliate marketer, you can register to Builderall affiliate program called "Builderall Business", It have very unique structure)

Ok, now we talk about some concepts that will help you...

The first term I'll explain is "drag and drop". What is meant by? Well, there are several methods for building a website.
There are platforms like Wordpress that are built on relatively simple templates that have a content area. In Wordpress, usually most of the websites looks simple and uniform - a permanent design element at the top of the page, logo, menu and area for text.
And there are 'Drag and Drop' platforms - you want the picture to be right. Just drag it to the right, you want another area of text, just drag a region of text and place it on the screen where you want (it's like designing a page in PowerPoint).

As with everything, there are advantages and disadvantages to both methods, but if you want more flexibility and design capabilities (for the site to be less boring) Drag and Drop is better for you and is available on BuilderAll and WIX platforms.

The second concept I would like to explain is "design templates". In the past, the design part of the website increase significantly the price of building the website. You got from the website design company a unique design that a website designer prepared for you and you undergo a process of corrections and re-sketches until you were satisfied with the result. This process took time and depended on the designer's skill and ability to explain and describe what you want. Today, when you choose platforms that allow you to build a website alone, you can choose the website design from a huge variety of hundreds and thousands of ready designs. These designs can be changed by yourself using Drag and Drop.

The third subject that is important to understand is "website hosting". In the past, it was customary to separate the site's hosting from the construction of the site. Site owners could choose to build the site in one company and then transfer and host it directly in the hosting company they choose (to reduce costs). Today, Platforms for building sites alone usually include hosting.
The advantage is cost reduction and ease of interfacing with the platform (the platform hosting package probably matches the platform) but on the other hand a certain limitation is created and dependency on them because the client cannot decide to take the site from the platform and host where he wants. If you are planning a small website and rely on the platform then the hosting issue may not be such a limitation and may even be a benefit.

The fourth term is "domain" (URL). On WIX and Builderall platforms you can choose to connect your own unique domain or use their sub domain. In my opinion, in this area of the domain you must purchase your own unique domain, otherwise it will be unprofessional.
In general, when you purchase a domain you can then set up a DNS domain, which is the address that directs the domain to the platform and the site you have built on the platform.

After discussing the four basic concepts, I will briefly explain a few other issues that are important to you in order to succeed in building a website alone. First of all it is important to understand that building a website alone does not suit everyone. There is a learning curve, you have to play and get to know the system and at first there will be things you will not be able to do easily but almost everyone has a solution. There are hundreds of videos that will show you how to use the platform. Second, if you are planning a large site with specific functionality that is tailored to you (ex. a site with a large product catalog that interfaces with your ERP system), this solution does not suit you. If you are a technical person (programmers, high tech, etc.) and you are fantasizing about putting your own scripts and using your programming skills, these solutions do not fit. Platforms are usually designed for people without programming knowledge and they close most of the intervention options by external code that you implement.

I would like to expand briefly on Builderall's system and get a little deeper into the special capabilities that the platform provides. First of all, Builderall allows you to build multiple sites under one account at the same cost. So if you need to build multiple sites or you know something else that needs to build a site you can build it in the same account.
In addition, the system includes a mailing system of up to 10,000 recipients, with which you can send newsletters and manage mailing lists. The cost of the most common mailing systems available on the market only is higher than the entire Buiderall system, which also includes a site building system, mailing system, hosting.
